You may get ActiveX errors if you have your Internet security settings on High, which will prevent ActiveX controls from running. Also, some custom level settings may cause this error. You must enable ActiveX controls and check custom level settings in this case.
Follow the instructions to enable ActiveX control:
- On the Tools menu, click on Internet Options
- Click on the Security tab
- Click on the Internet icon in the Content Zone window
- Set Medium as the Security level for this zone
- Click Custom Level button and ensure the following are set to Enabled
- Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins
- Script ActiveX controls marked safe for scripting
- Scripting
- Click OK
- Click OK again to save the changes
You may also get ActiveX errors if certain file is missing, or not registered on your computer, or you have a misconfigured system file. If the file is missing you have to download this file and install it to solve this particular problem. If the system file is misconfigured, you have to reset the system file to the default settings. |
